Bracteate
Coins struck on blanks so thin that the image applied to one side appears in reverse on the other. First minted in Erfurt and Thuringia in the twelfth century, and later produced elsewhere in Germany, Switzerland and Poland until the fourteenth century. (Latin bractea, a thin piece of metal)
